Banjo rear end lube capacity? How much 600 WT oil should I put into my Model A rear?

Re: Banjo rear end lube capacity? Fill it till it runs out....As for 600 I am not a fan and would rather use synthetic 90w140
|
Re: Banjo rear end lube capacity? Keep in mind that the original 600w oil is not made. Whatever is being marketed as 600w is some kind of modern synthetic oil.

Re: Banjo rear end lube capacity? Think of it like pouring a beer into a glass, you fill it to the very rim

Re: Banjo rear end lube capacity? Thanks folks! I had recently seen that if a trans were filled too high (to the plug) that there might be foaming which could lead to problems. I'll see if I can fill it to slightly below the plug, measuring to see how much it takes to do that.
(This is for my "avatar picture" project car but I can't post pictures of it here for fear of being run out of town.) |
