Ford Model T Coupe |
Re: Ford Model T Coupe Except for the red hood/bonnet, that looks a lot like the one I brought home back in the early part of this century! (around 2008) Had to hold the cab together with ropes to bring it home.

Re: Ford Model T Coupe I really like the early black coupes with the suicide doors, as well as the tall and handsome Centerdoor sedans.
Regards, Steve Boothroyd |
Re: Ford Model T Coupe I tend the view the tall Ts as great hot rod material but I always believe they look best when the body's are left stock meaning not chopped or channeled. I'm 6"1' and I tried to sit in a chopped and channeled '27 coupe. Even though the seat was on the floor my head was mashed into the headliner and I could not see out of the windshield with out tilting my head sideways! The cars owner was a bit shorter than I!

Model T Ford Coupe seen at a recent Canadian Car Show. This one has regular Front Hinged Doors, unlike the original one shown in this Thread that has Rear Hinged Doors. |
Re: Ford Model T Coupe 1 Attachment(s)
This is mine. I couldn't find a complete one so I assembled it from a pile of sheet metal and parts. It's a blast and keeps the snow off of us. People enjoy it as much as our restored cars.

15max, You have done well, looks great - Congratulations |
Re: Ford Model T Coupe I always wanted to take one of those and put 1915 Fenders, Hood, lights, cowl lights, radiator maybe even an oval rear window.
I think it would look great even though its not original. Why not, people make speedsters....... |

Early Ford Model T Coupe that looks like a Sports Coupe? |
Re: Ford Model T Coupe It's called a Coupelet. Yes they are a wonderfully sporty car.
|
Re: Ford Model T Coupe I am new to Ford Barn. One day I would like to be driving a completed Model T; preferably an Early T.
|
Re: Ford Model T Coupe I've planned to build what I can from the frame, up. I am not a mechanic by trade, so, when it comes to the engine and transmission, I'll definitely be challenged. I am most interest in the early Model Ts, 1909-1914. I have a Straight Axle coming on Tuesday. I have located a Frame; I just have to get it shipped to Michigan. Mechanically, the Chassis doesn't seem to be too complicated.

Re: Ford Model T Coupe 1 Attachment(s)
Folksinger, early T's are cool and pretty straightforward. You might be better off getting a more complete car, but if you want to do one from parts, more power to you. You should join a local T club and the national clubs, mtfca.com and www.modelt.org. BTW, here is a pic of the coupe I rescued from a garage a few years ago. It's a 24.

Re: Ford Model T Coupe How much did you have to pay for your 24' Model T ?
|
Re: Ford Model T Coupe Not much. No title and driver's side disassembled and needs new wood. I got the engine running a year and a half ago after sitting since around 1962. A lot of work ahead of me.
|
Re: Ford Model T Coupe Lol. How much is "Not Much"? A few Hundred Dollars or a few Thousand Dollars?
