Clayborne model 100 engine stand 1 Attachment(s)
Tried to buy one of these 20 years ago and wasn't for sale. The ones i would come across were usually on the otherside of the world.
Managed to get this one that was saved from the junk man for $20 but no adapters. Its in good shape with most of its original paint and the ID tag is nice. If i cant buy a set of adapters for a flathead, at the least does anyone have good clear pictures of them ? The ones i have found online are either fuzzy or partial pictures and the catalog pictures are incomplete. |

Re: Clayborne model 100 engine stand I've had mine for over 50 years. Mad a bracket for the front so I could degree in the cam.

Re: Clayborne model 100 engine stand I wasnt really hunting for one when this one surfaced but recognized it right away.
Same way i got.the KR Wilson stand... farm auction and bought the scrap pile to get the stand. As rough as it was handled the tool tray survived intact. For the clayborne front bracket, anyone know the lengrh of the arms that are welded to the large ring and bolt to the front of the block? From there the rest is easy enough to figure out off the yoke on the base |
Re: Clayborne model 100 engine stand Another picture to drool over. For some people, ONE of anything just ain't enough. But for one round adapter, FIVE complete Claybornes! DD

Re: Clayborne model 100 engine stand I'll measure mine , I made it from a picture ,I am planning another one , the only problem I needed to make the front mount about 1 inch longer to easily accept the 46 v-8 extended front pulley, otherwise it works great ,even for s.b.c, the front mount bolts are somewhat close to the s.b.c pattern, I use trans adapters to accommodate other engines as well.

Re: Clayborne model 100 engine stand The large end yoke measures 7-1/2" and 7" schedule 40 pipe is 7-5/8 od. 7" pipe is not that common and i had a piece if i can find it, simple enough to turn it down to fit if not rolling a band out of flatbar isnt that hard then true it up in the lathe.
The other end isnt critical and a piece of 2-1/2" pipe fits fine |
Re: Clayborne model 100 engine stand If You're passing through the Hershey area any time soon you can stop and check mine out if it'd help.
