Berts Model A

I retired this week from Berts Model A in Denver after 13 years . I will miss the place but I hope to find a life of semi retirement. I have a real nice 1928 Closed Cab pickup for sale, pictures were posted a few months ago if anyone is interested.Look on the Swap site here for details Thanks Phil Turner [email protected]

Wow! That is a real loss to the Model A community! Phil has a vast knowledge of these fine cars.

Congratulations on your retirement. You will be missed at Burt's. Time to work on your own cars instead of someone else's.

Are you quitting Model A's completely?

Wow, Phil... Not sure what to say... That's certainly big news! Sad for us, but hopefully good for you. You will be missed. Good luck in your retirement!

BTW, Phil helped me buy my first Model A in 2010, and answered a million questions since then. When I first got my car, I would come into the shop and ask a ton of questions and walk around and look at stuff like it was a museum. They have everything! Phil and Steve and Dan probably thought I was casing the joint for a big heist. I did feel a little guilty for asking so many questions and taking up all their time but a kid in a candy shop just can't help himself. Bert's is a fun place to hang out, and Phil helped make it that way.

Phil,

Good luck with retirement, I hope this means you will be getting more active with in the Model A hobby and attending more events. I would like to see you at the museum in Hickory Corners some September for the Model A gathering. Keep us update on your adventures in retirement!

Phil,

Congrats on your retirement. I really apprecaite the help you and Steve provided during the restoration of my 29 Special Coupe. One of the highlights of the restoration journey was visiting with you and Steve for several days at Berts and searching for those hard to find original parts. It must be a great feeling to know that you helped so many folks.

Best regards - Hunter

Congrats on your retirement.

But I hope you weren't the guy who completely stuffed up my order a while back.

I used to praise Bert's. but not any more.

Congrats to you Phil! Yes, I think there will be a huge void in the Model-A hobby because of your retirement. Do you suppose your replacement will be a sprint car guy?? :D :D :D

Hey Phil,
CONGRATS to you !
Now you've got to look out that you enjoy yourself....and not be overworked doing everything for inlaws, outlaws and neighbors. I think that retirement is a learning curve, just like full employment was:) !

Phil,
Congratulations! You guys have always been top notch to the Model A community.
If I lived out there I'd be there all the time rooting for things... and maybe working there too!
Best of Luck!

Congratulations! I retired 2 years ago from a job I loved and bought a '30 ccpu to help keep me busy. My wife says to send condolences to your wife.

Phil, Please say it isn't so!

Thank you so much for thinking of me when you decided to sell your 1928 Special Coupe. I plan to keep it forever. I wish you well in your retirement.

Quite a loss for me as I enjoyed our many Saturday morning meetings
with you and Steve.

Congrats Phil... You have been a GREAT help to me in getting my 31 Sedan completed... Now enjoy everyday being a Saturday...
Your help in searching out GOOD used parts will be missed... but I am confident Bert's will continue to be the BEST A part house...
