Andalusite vs Washington blue? Hi
Does anyone have a decent pic of either of these blues? I'm torn on which one to go with. Is Andalusite considerably darker? Thanks |

Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? By the way - how do you guys post photos nice and big like Skip's??

Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? Washington Blue was a '30-'31 color (?), I believe.
Andalusite Blue was '28-'29. I find Andalusite to be much darker. I like Washington Blue, especially when paired with Rivera Blue belt and Tacoma Cream on the wheels. If your coachwork is less than perfect ( ripples / small imperfections ) you might want to favor the lighter color... thats' what I'm planning to do with my '28 coupe. ( PS - That's a beautiful Roadster, Earle ! ) |
Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? The Washington Blue was a good match with the color chips, but the Riviera Blue belting was a bit on the grey side. Earle, do you have Eagle locks on your luggage Trunk?

There's are linked to Photobucket. Your's are uploaded to this site. |
Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? Actually, if you upload your pics to an album on this site, you are able to use the little "insert image" icon when you post. Then paste the URL addy of the pic in your album that you want to use up to 800 pixels (perhaps more).

Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? If you don't have MAFCA's color chip book, there is a website that has all of the color chip charts and you can get some idea of what the colors look like although the monitors are not perfect in their color display. Try http://www.tcpglobal.com and look for their chips for Ford 1928 - 1931. I have bought paint from them and have been very happy with the color match. Gar Williams

Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? How the heck did you do that??!!
|
Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? Sorry, I guess I meant Lombard not Andalusite.. Its pretty sad when you don't even know what color your own car is..
|
Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? You have the photo in your album, Patrick, I right-clicked your photo, clicked on properties to copy the URL,, then went to this thread, clicked on the little yellow icon (if you mouse over the buttons you will see "insert image"), which brings you to a pop-up to paste in the URL, and walla.....a beautiful roadster!
You do not have to get to properties. Just click on your photo you choose in the album, and it will give you the URL to copy/paste in the pop-up, when you post reply. Nice Roadster! |

Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? I have a 30 std roadster. Thanks everyone for the pics keep them coming!
This is going to be a tough decision. |
Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? I did mine in what I was told was a Washington Blue by my local Maaco, but it is a tad brighter. Since mine is a driver, not a points car, I love the way it looks no matter what it is called. Can't fogue out how to attach picture, sorry, not too computer literate.

Re: Andalusite vs Washington blue? Nope, won't work.. I don't care how I try it, it just won't go.. It'll be easier and faster to stuff it in an envelope and mail it to everyone..
