Curb weight 1951 Mercury and pics I went up to the recycling center and drove my car onto the scale. I was curious what the curb weight was. It is 3,760 lbs with a full tank of gas. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...20c7ed2d5b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b04425a539.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...32aee4f5da.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...47bb848a9f.jpg

Re: Curb weight 1951 Mercury and pics I suppose the owner of the scrapyard got real excited when he saw your car sitting on his scale!

Re: Curb weight 1951 Mercury and pics Your dog looks less than thrilled in the third pic. Outstanding car, thanks for sharing.

Re: Curb weight 1951 Mercury and pics The fuel weight is around 6-Lbs per gallon so at 19.5 gallons your fuel weight would be 117-Lbs. That would put the car at 3,643-Lbs with zero fuel. They aren't light weights. I don't know if my overdrive cars are same weight but they are likely pretty close anyway.

Re: Curb weight 1951 Mercury and pics Great looking Merc you have there. I seem to recall reading that the 52 Mercs were actually lighter than the 51s. I've never weighed my 52 so interesting to hear what others weigh. Mine has lost a little weight due to rust over the years. :-)
