replying to messages
 

When did the rules change on replying to personal messages? I have had several messages that I am not allowed to answer on here in the last week or so. Never had this problem before and have purchased several parts from this site from some pretty good people. Now, The rules changed and I have to post 10 new threads to have the privilege? Who made these rules and why? It is hard enough to navigate the internet for folks like me that are getting on up in age. Changing the formats and making it harder to use your site is not a good idea!

There have been way too many spamers so Ryan set things up in an attempt to block them. The thinking is that, if someone really was interested in old cars and not fly by night, they would stick around and get those 10 post. 3 more post and you should be good to go. Since I don't have 10 posts yet can I respond to someone that PM'd me? Doesn't show up in sent messages.

Having the same issues, so I guess we just post random useless posts until we reach the “magic” number? Almost there. This is really counter productive.

Had the same thing on a PM that was sent to me. I get it though. 10 posts your good to go.

I'm posting here and now to get post number 6. I really like 3 or 5. It is what it is.
