Cracked door glass

Just noticed my passenger door glass has cracked . The glass is laminated and was fitted to my 31 CCPU summer of 2016 just over 5 years ago . The crack is vertical about 6" back from the front edge . Investigation reveals the glass runner has swollen and blown by rust putting pressure on the glass lower edge . When I fitted the runner it looked powder coated black so I assumed would be rust resistant not so . The black coating was detached in strips . I know now I should have checked but I will check the drivers door and take remedial action . This looks like a good case for stainless runners(risers) Check your doors especially outside living vehicles in damp climate .

John in cool evening Suffolk County England .

That is exactly why I am not a fan of power coating.
