Torque Specs Question

Can anyone tell me the correct/recommended torque for bolting the flywheel to the crank on a '53 8RT? Thanks.

Re: Torque Specs Question

In the Ford engine repair manual for 1937 1947 Ford V8 engines it is listed as 65-70 ft lbs,I would imagine that didn't change for later engines or flywheels.

49-51 Merc manual also says 75-85 ft.-lbs. Go with 80.

My 49 - 51 shop manual lists 75 - 85 ft-lbs. It did change for the later engines.
