Re: 1930 Model a four door in excellent condition I see it has a B or C engine do you know which?
|
Re: 1930 Model a four door in excellent condition I do not know how to start it, and I have been told that I should drain all the fluids and replace them before I start it up to prevent damage due to how long it has been sitting. And I do not know anything about engines. My grandfather drove it to special events with his model A club before his death.

Re: 1930 Model a four door in excellent condition I was told it has shocks and an alternator. I was also told that the engine has a "C" head, but he couldn't tell what the engine block was. It has a luggage box that comes with it. I am unable to find the crank. A gentle man that viewed it brought one and the engine does turn. We believe it had a stuck clutch but were able to roll it when I had some extra muscle help me out. Any other questions please ask...but I know very little about cars.

Re: 1930 Model a four door in excellent condition I think that's an A engine. The B has a fatter oil fill pipe. One thing different is the starter. It has a solenoid instead of the foot switch. It probably has an on/start switch.

Re: 1930 Model a four door in excellent condition Looks a Whole lot better than the Grain Loft car !!!!!

Re: 1930 Model a four door in excellent condition It has a "B" head. It is also probably 12V with the Alternator.

Re: 1930 Model a four door in excellent condition We already know it has a B or C head. I think it is an A engine under the head.Show the other side and see if it has the fuel pump blanked off.

Re: 1930 Model a four door in excellent condition It has the blank off so it is a B. Thanks for responding. I like the car, wish it was more east.
