Toss your old school ray gun

I got this thermal imager and what a difference to be able to detect cold / hot spots over the traditional way.... Running this across the radiator and being able to see the variances visually is night and day over what we're use to when using the old school ray guns.....
You can easily check your home from heat or cold loss, find wall studs etc...
I pulled a wire on the A spark plug and was easily able to detect the non firing cylinder by scanning the exhaust manifold... The traditional Ray gun was not able to as the temp differences were to close but with the thermal imaging it nicely showed up. It can be pointed at any electrically operated device such as a fuel injector to see if it's working... Unlimited uses....
Just passing the info along to the gang. This has 4,800 pixels which is much better than the cheaper ones on the market...

We've used thermal imaging cameras at work for years, but they cost SEVERAL thousand dollars. They are good for diagnosing electrical problems that involve bad connections ( high resistance=heat). Also good for checking dead spots in a coil (radiator).
Nice to see they are becoming more afFORDable. Thanks for the heads up Mitch:)

Great for the professional mechanic or a shop, but Not at all practical for the hobbyist that might use it once every five years. Harbor Freight is still the tool of the hobbyist. Wayne.

Thanks, Mitch. More affordable, but still pretty expensive for the average buyer for occasional use.

If enough of you guys buy it the price will come down. When it gets to $34.80 I'll snap one up just for kicks!
