Lucas tires Do you have any advice on the Lucas tires. We will be driving locally most of the time with an occasional road trip (100-200mi.)

Re: Lucas tires I have them on the truck and my dad has a set on his victora, they seem to be a real good tire for the price.

Re: Lucas tires 6000 miles on mine. No issues.

Re: Lucas tires They did not last very long on our Victoria.
Would not buy another set. Gil. NoCal |
Re: Lucas tires Have the 4.75-5.00x19 Olympics on my Town Sedan, no issues. I do have balance beads in the tubes, don't know if that helps.

Re: Lucas tires My Lucas tires and Lucas inner tubes are holding up fine, even in the AZ desert heat !!!!

Re: Lucas tires Thanks for the input, it helps to see what others experiences are

Re: Lucas tires On my 19” wheels, I didn’t like them, sold them and went back to the Goodyear’s. At 50+ mph, they were squirrelly. Goodyears aren’t.

4.40/4.50-21" Black and White wall The new European Classic 4.40/4.50-21" tyre with 75-mm whitewall is produced in Europe and designed to offer classic whitewall styling with the classic pattern from the old days. An ideal choice for classic antique cars. The tyre has a modern tubeless construction to avoid flat spots but it is also designed to be used with tubes. The tyre is the only E-marked tyre in this size, and it is 100% road-legal for use in Europe and DOT-marked for the US market. |
Re: Lucas tires sorry, I went to pull up the comparison chart on 4-5 major brands and it reconfigured..........
guessing the european version is in Linux? |

Re: Lucas tires according to the chart I just tried to post- the Lucas "grow" flat spots if stored for awhile.
the best part of the lucas is the pricing, but the european classics appear to be far better tires for the same $ |

Re: Lucas tires Im speaking of putting it away in the fall, and pulling it out in the spring- so say 5-6 months.
so Ive heard........ |
Re: Lucas tires Al Mack. We drive about 2500-3000 miles per year
During the 2nd year noticed significant tire wear. In my opinion.... these tires are squirrelly on any pavement deviation. Gave uneasy feel. We usually drive at 50mph on the open road. I switched to the Firestones... and am happy. Wish I would have known about the European tires... I continue hearing good things there Gil. NoCal |
Re: Lucas tires Quote:
Literally all my cars have that problem if I store them with normal tire pressure, even the Benz with semi slicks. I increase the tire pressure to 3.5 - 4 bar when I put them away for the winter. No more flat spots that way. |
Re: Lucas tires good point Mr Starnberg............
jack stands are another alternative. |
