Hood Adjustment

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to adjust the front of the hood on a 48. There is about a 3/8 of an inch of play after the hood is latched.

Loosen the nut above the upper spring tang and turn it in to lessen gap, re- tighten nut while holding tang.
