34 pickup front frame mount

I never seem to be smart enough to take before pictures. I'm in trouble again as a result. I am reinstalling the cab to the frame. All 6 wood blocks are ok to use and I have them in place, I think. However the tab on the front edge of the firewall needs some sort of spacer between it and the frame and I can't remember what that should be. Does anyone know what I am missing? (besides common sense).. thanks.

I am not sure what kind of spacer you may need I think just the frame webbing is under that. Look at these old photos of my old truck and see if it helps.

Well, I must have done something really wrong. I have a 1-1/2 inch gap to fill between the tab and the frame. Guess I'll try tightening up the other mounting bolts and see if the cab pulls down on the blocks enough to close it up. Thank you for the pictures. They really help.

Are your doors hung on the cab already?

No,no doors, yet. Found the problem. When I reconstructed the front cab corners (completely gone at the bottom) I left the folded under part too long and it was hitting the frame. Two minutes with the die grinder and it all fits as it should. Thanks again.

Hi Cab tilt fore and aft will affect your hood fit. be prepared tomake adjustments for final fit. The old wood mounts can be shrunken. Newc

The front cab mounts also affect your door alignment . You may find that you have to put some shims under the mounts to get the doors to line up.
