Dual Exhaust Manifold 49-51 Who made these before Bob Drake? I have one from back in the late sixties or early seventies for a 49-51 with the crossover block off plate. It has raised lettering on the bottom side, near the front, ASP. Can anyone ID this? Could it be Ansen Speed Products? Ray

Re: Dual Exhaust Manifold 49-51 They were used from the factory on '52 & '53 police cars.

Re: Dual Exhaust Manifold 49-51 In answer to your question I made the manifold. I copied it from a Douglass Header manifold. It is my understanding that the manifold was produced by the Douglass Foundry for the Ford Motor Co. The manifold was made available for 49-51 Ford police cars. I had the manifold reverse engineered and made the pattern to make the casting. Then had it machined.
I also reproduce the 52-54 manifold similar to the one that Ford offered. Lastly, I produce a manifold for the passenger side to give the appearance of factory dual exhaust. |
Re: Dual Exhaust Manifold 49-51 What does the ASP stand for? When did you produce them? I have had this one several years. Ray
