This Sunday.. Annual Model A Day in Sharon, WI

Model A Day First Sunday in June
Every year on the first Sunday in June, the spirit of the 1920s and 1930s is brought to life in the small town of Sharon as Model A’s line the main street. People dressed as gangsters and flappers from the period promenade in front of the well preserved facades of local businesses, displaying architecture of a different time. With these historic buildings, the Model A’s and people in period attire look quite at home. Model A Day is one of several events put forth by Historic Downtown Sharon, LLC to bring to life the history that surrounds us and to get in touch with our past. The illusion of stepping back in time is aided by costumed residents of the town, time-period entertainments, and of course, those delicious foods we have been eating for as long as we can remember.
Be you a new face or old friend, we look forward to seeing you!

Date & Time: Sunday June 2, 2019 between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm
Location: Downtown Main Street of Sharon, WI.

Arrangements have been made for no rain this Sunday.

Search the Ford Barn forum ( Model A Day Sharon) for the pictures posted from last year’s event and discussions. Hope to see you there.

Wish I could go, family issue came up and have to drive to South Dakota for a few days. Have been to Sharon before and was a great time. This year my A would have finally been capable of the trip - Oh well. Hope everyone has a great time and that the weather is excellent. Take pictures and post please. Hopefully next year I can make it.

Just saw this and mentioned it to my son and we're excited to try the trip (longest our A has ever been). We can easily get to Lake Mills, can anyone recommend a Model A friendly route to Sharon from Lake Mills?

Highway 89 isn't exactly friendly.

Take County B west from Lake Mills to County N. Go south on N through Jefferson to Whitewater. Pick up Hwy 12 in Whitewater west to the edge of town and grab County P. P is golden in a Model A. Not busy at all. Take P south to Delavan, and pick up County Rd X west to County Rd K. Take K south to Hwy 67. Turn right on 67 and go 2 miles west and you are in Sharon. Figure on 2 hours going by that route. Questions, call me. Mike Peters

Thank you to all attending this year’s Model A Day. Around 200 Model A s attended from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. Beautiful weather, lots of entertainment including a Model A wedding, great food, beautiful autos, and wonderful Model A folk. Who could ask for anything more...

Ideal day great time!

When they got to the part during the wedding about 'does anyone speak out against why this marriage should occur...' that part it didn't make any difference because the couple actually got married last week.

They planned on the actual ceremony being during the Sharon meet but had to move it up due to a schedule change. How about that Phaeton as a 'get-away' car with cans tied behind it and everything!

Looking forward already to next year. It will be the 100th anniversary of women getting the vote and they said there will be a skit around that theme!
