DOROTHEA LANGE and her 1933 WOODY. Who's Dorothea Lange?? Well she was a famous photographer, 1885 -1965, who's photos are preserved at the Online Archive of California, http://www.oac.cdlib.org/, with her most famous photo of a Migrant Mother, taken in 1936. In 2008 she was inducted into the California Hall of Fame. Check out her works and history by GOOGLEing her name.

Re: DOROTHEA LANGE and her 1933 WOODY I believe she was employed by the Farm Bureau to photograph the Depression, out west. Her work is outstanding. Another Depression Era Photographer I like is Russell Lee. The Pietown New Mexico series, (1940) is great.
I am a Ophthalmic Photographer and my dad worked for Kodak in Rochester, N.Y. for twenty eight years. Kind of peeked my interest with this post. Jeff |
