Tires for my 16" wheels

my 30 model A has "V8" wheels and hubcaps. The tires say "BF Goodrich High Miler" and "550x16". I got a matching spare wheel but can't find these tires and suspect they're not made any more. They are wide whitewalls.

Suggestions?

Lucas Tire in Long Beach, CA lists a BF Goodrich 6.00x16 wide white radial
but no 5.50's. They may have your exact size in a different brand. Not cheap

I would suggest 600x16's. They fit well on the 16 inch rims and look good on the car.
I think the 550's are a little small.

My opinion,

You maybe wouldn't notice any appreciable difference in the 6.00x16. And anyway it will just be a spare to get home off a flat. I think the 5.50x16 looks more appropriate on a Model A Ford if you don't plan on having stock wheels and tires.

Try Coker Tire. I just bought 600x16's. I bought black wall. I think wide whites are available in 600x16 and 700x16.

205/75/16's if you want a stock look...cheap too.. modern radial superior to bias ply tires. Amazon crazy cheap, prime puts them at your house with no shipping cost

Be sure to check the date code on your tires. If they don't have one that doesn't mean they are ok but rather too old to have a code.

How about putting the odd one as spare with a tire cover?
