Value of parts I wonder if you guys can give me a rough Idea of what I should ask for some parts I have? When I bought my 29 Tudor, It came with an extra transmission, a flywheel, a clutch pressure plate, an intake manifold, an exhaust manifold with heater, and the original generator and distributor. Also a gasket set, and some small new parts. I do not know the condition of any of these parts. I just sold my A, and have no plans to have another one, so want to sell the parts. I prefer to sell all together in one lot. I will sell cheap, just to clean out the shed. So what should I ask to sell quick???

Re: Value of parts You might be able to get a couple hundred for the lot. If any of it is rebuilt ask more.

Re: Value of parts Nothing is rebuilt, just used parts. I was hoping to get $100 for the lot.

Re: Value of parts Post the parts on the Ford Barn Swap section................

Re: Value of parts the tranny is worth 75. but takes forever to sell. so 100.-200. would be fair for everything.
|
Re: Value of parts mostly heavy iron, sheet metal more valuable,$100. or 200. and you will be glad to get rid of it,just my opinion.

Re: Value of parts Be sure to figure out whether the trans has a multi-disk clutch or single-disk clutch. That might be important to a potential buyer.

Re: Value of parts It sounds like you have the beginning of another A...:D

Re: Value of parts My experience has been not long after you sell it, usually at a discounted price, you'll discover you need it and buy one back at a premium price. Just saying...
|
Re: Value of parts That would be true, but I wanted an A for several years, then when I got one, I found out I really didn't use it enough to warrant having it. I would much rather have a different classic in my garage. So, I am 99.9% sure I will never have an A again. And I doubt if I have that many years left to be driving anyway. Also, I need to also sell my 64 Ranchero, before I will buy another car, and that may never happen, as I seem to not have any interest in it.

"My experience has been not long after you sell it, usually at a discounted price, you'll discover you need it and buy one back at a premium price. Just saying..." Yes but someone else get it store, move it, trip over it in the mean time but frees up my limited space at the same time. LOL |
Re: Value of parts Why didn't you let the parts go w/the car? Same as you got them.

I have found many buyers of my cars, dont want the extra parts. Not everyone is a hoarder like me. |
Re: Value of parts Easy, just make the sale for everything and load the parts up.

Re: Value of parts Contact the International Ford Victoria Association. They have a youth restoration program for those under the age of 21. They might has a use for the parts and you would be helping the next generation.

Re: Value of parts The manifold with heater cover is a $50 item all day long. Gasket set With head gasket $25
Distributor $10 Transmission.... I consider each one is a core @ $15 max. Tested and ready to install with shift tower $200 Now at a auction or swap meet I can by everything for $25 tops. |
