34 Headliner Question 2 Attachment(s)
Moving along on my new interior installation, I have a question concerning the headliner (my next step) In the LeBaron Bonney instructions it states the following:
"on 1934 models only, continue tacking the tab along the top edge of the outer metal braces which contain cardboard inserts for this purpose" My car does not have any such cardboard inserts in the outer metal braces, only curved rods that are screwed in to the upper edges at bows 2,3,5 & 6 (See second attached pic) My question is, do these just get inserted in the tab ends when installing? My car is a September manufacture date, I am guessing this is a late in the year change in design. Thanks for any guidance... |
Re: 34 Headliner Question I would give L/B a call,I just fitted a set of seat kits to my 33,they were good to deal with

Re: 34 Headliner Question Those bows do slip into the sleeves of the headliner. Find the center of each wood bow and then the center of the headliner sleeve. Match up the center points and tack or staple from side to side on the wood bow until you get to the metal bow. Then slip the metal bow into the sleeve and attach the bow. I would also recommend you call LB. They may not know there was a change in '34. Ususally if they know about it they have the info in their instructions.
