carburator problem I have a zenith carburator 13922 on a 29 model A Ford town sedan that is running too rich and the engine is heating up. How do I adjust the mixture? It doesn't adjust with the choke rod like the originals. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks, Donald Thompson |

Too rich isn't usually associated with overheating.
The richness adjustment is that little T-valve sticking out the bottom front. Try turning it all the way in, then backing it out 1/2 a turn; that works pretty well on my '29 town sedan. You may need to give it a bit more choke on cold starts, since you've lost that warmup enrichment. About the overheating, what else did you change besides the carb? Steve |
Re: carburator problem You might find some answers from the troubleshooting chart
at www.modela.org It's in PDF format and is an excellent reference guide which you can copy. Jack |
