What can be used to repair a top bow frame where the side curtain snap goes ?

A photo of the area in question would help. Roadster? Standard or deluxe? Phaeton?

I made some new wood bows for my Model T by gluing several thin layers of wood together. I made a form to hold the laminated bow in position while it dried.

You can buy wet solid wood that has been processed to make it easy to form. You bend it to shape on a form and then let it dry.

Re: Bow Repair

A lot depends on how a particular snap fastens and whether it fastens into wood or metal. It would be hard to give an opinion without knowing these things. Photos are good but even good location descriptions and year model of car can be a big help.

Re: Bow Repair

If it is cracked or the hole is too large wooden pen making super glue mixed with sawdust or super glue and tooth picks filling the hole will work. Just be careful using the super glue as it does not remove easily if at all if spilled on other than wood.
