Winfield H. Head

We have a Winfield hi comp head with Pat Pend on it. It has # 61669 stamped on the boss. Don't know comp ratio but looks to be high. If it was magged for cracks, cleaned, resurfaced and painted, what would be a reasonable asking price for it providing we decided to sell it. Can text or email pictures.

Normally the stamped number on Winfield heads were serial numbers, and the first letter was the compression ratio. Yours would be a 6:1, commonly called a yellow head, because they were painted different colors for easy recognition at the factory. Early heads had 18mm spark plugs, later ones had 14mm. Price is whatever the buyer is willing to pay, I would say $500 is about right.

truthfully, Ild say 350. because new heads are being made.

I would prefer a new one myself.

Wow, wish you guys were selling when I was buying Winfield stuff. Most heads I see usually go in the 7 to 8 hundred range even with the reproductions.
