Reds Headers. Washers?

Hi Fordbarn,

I just got a set of Reds Headers for my 39 Sedan and it came with a bolt kit but no washers.

What are your thoughts? Should I pick up a set of lock washers? Locktite? Just use the bolts as is?

Thanks for your input.

Chris

Re: Reds Headers. Washers?

I use flat washers and antiseize compound. I am afraid the lockwashers will
crack and break due to expansion and contraction and loose their effectiveness.
No Loctite.

I did the same. Use a good grade washer and hi temp anti-seize. Check torque every 6 months or so.

Nord-Lock washers and anti seize. With those washers they will stay tight.
