Would any member in LA let us ship some A parts to them so we can pick them up in early Feb,And bring them back with us to Australia, this will save us the freight costs($$$) these will be two camshafts, two oil pumps and a block pressure test kit.
Also maybe two sets of pistons from EGGE.
thanks Lawrie

Lawrie,
California is BIG. Might help if you say where exactly are you going to be besides LAX (airport). It's a two day drive from top to bottom of California. Chap

Thought that "member in LA" would narrow it down to the area.

"In LA" could mean driving 50 miles and 2 hours on the freeway. I am about 5 miles North lo LAX and would be glad to help.

Re: LA members

Lawrie, I am puzzled as to how you are going to carry all of those large heavy parts with you back to Australia and save paying freight. Better to ship them to a freight forwarder who ships in a container to Australia. Regards, Kevin.

Re: LA members

Details are important in the "LA" area. I bought a hood from 40Larry here on the forum and needed it in Vista, CA just north of San Diego. Stopped at LAX on a trip to Seattle. Took me most of a day of driving 240 miles from LAX to Northridge, then to Vista and back to LAX in the horrible Southern CA traffic. Figured out why I couldn't easily find anyone to shlep the hood for me. Yup 240 miles and 10+ hours of driving it was.

Sometimes it is a 1 day drive from north Southern California to south Southern California depending on time of day. Sometimes non Californians can't comprehend freeway speeds of 5mph for endless hours at rush hour, say 3 hours to go 15 miles on a Friday afternoon? I don't exaggerate, this has been my experience. Now the locals around here near Houston think our traffic is atrocious, it is but they have no idea what real traffic is! Still every time I visit SoCal I wish I lived there!
