cabriolet vs roadster- 1936
 

I am looking at some #2 cars and am wondering what the ballpark should be on either of these models? Yes, I can get a value guide, but more often then not they are outdated.
I understand the roadsters go for a bit more. what should ballpark values be on nice clean cars that are ready to be driven. Not #1 show cars.

Ronn, take a look at e-Bay and on the left menu look at the sold cars and those where the auction ended. You can be specific on the search and just look at 1936 Fords. Also look at a website called "carsonline.com". You'll see asking prices and cars that have sold. The real world is those that have sold. I also believe that Old Cars Weekly publishes and annual value guide.

thank you TJ. I am very aware of using ebay for such, but the problem is, what was the car really made up of? Pictures on ebay often dont show what you are truly buying. while I am content with spending 10k and under with a photo, I need to see in person when spending a good bit more.
Actually Kube sent me a private message of his similar quest and it was quite informative.
Didnt realize there was such a difference in pricing from rdstr to cab.

Old Cars Value guide has been poopy for decades. When i was regularly selling #1 coupes in the $65 - $70 range, they had them pegged at $40. Same disparity for the convertibles I'd sold.
They really too heavily upon auction results (often fake) , want ads (asking prices) , and sold prices with rather embellished descriptions.

My friend bought a #1.5 '36 roadster that was done, but needed some assembly for $40K two years ago.
