PVC Valve ? 1 Attachment(s)
Still trying to understand what I got. New-to-me '37 has Offenhouser intake, with this PCV valve on it.
Anyone recognize it? Who makes a PCV valve like this? Don't want to touch it until I understand how it was attached. Catalog pics of the intake show this boss solid, no hole or fitting. So did the engine builder drill and tap a hole to receive a screw-in PCV valve? |

Re: PVC Valve ? The YBlock ford site had a similar PVC valve that some one drilled and tapped a hole in an intake manifold for. It should just screw out. I believe that it a valve for a GM vehicle.

Re: PVC Valve ? Hi Jay, I recently posted a thread on similar subject & 51 MERC-CT & others were very informative. Your pic. Is similar to an idea he posted. Mine is an 8BA but has a 59ab intake similar to yours . That drilled / tapped port is opening into the crank case & is one way to set up a PCV Sys. on a Flathead. Not sure if it had when you got it but needs to be plumbed to vacuum port on carburetor perch. Here’s the thread, post #14 shows a similar intake with same idea. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296964
