headlamp switch wiring Hello,
Well I got myself into a pickle. I thought I took a good picture of the wiring on my headlamp switch for my 57 wagon. Apparently I didn't so.......Does anyone have a diagram of what lead goes to which post. Thank you, Mike |
Re: headlamp switch wiring 3 Attachment(s)
This first headlight switch diagram is actually for a '55 Bird but the section shown should be 98% the same.
In the third diagram the blue circle labeled 'running lights' is just other words for the tail lights & license plate light. Here's a full wiring diagram for a '57 Ford... http://www.oldcarmanualproject.com/t...re5765-195.jpg . |
Re: headlamp switch wiring Thank you DMSFRR, that is what I needed. I can start hooking wires up now! Woohoo!!!!

Re: headlamp switch wiring For the lights on the front of the car...
If it has a disconnected 2 layer black junction block on the left side inner fender just behind the headlight that has you scratching your head... just holler. |
Re: headlamp switch wiring I am installing a Ron Francis wiring kit so am not using the junction block you mention.

Re: headlamp switch wiring If you want your parking lights on with the headlights as they are on newer cars, that's easy to do. Just connect the park lights to the same terminal as the taillights. Or you can come off the middle terminal of the dimmer switch which is the feed from the headlight switch.

Re: headlamp switch wiring Lamar that is an idea that I had not thought of. Thank you.
