LATELY I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT SHIFTING OUT OF A FEW OF MY MODEL A'S FOR OTHER MAKES AND MODELS.
I CURRENTLY HAVE 5 A'S AND WOULD LIKE TO SELL A COUPLE OF "PROJECTS" OFF FOR OTHER MODELS.

WHAT OTHER CARS HAVE YOU SWITCHED TO FROM SOME OF YOUR MODEL A'S?

I would like another pre-67 Beetle,but they've turned into gold.I looked at a solid,straight,unrestored 65 a few months ago.Interior was perfectly presentable,but worn.Sounded good,ran smooth,but the power was down and smoked some.It was $15,000,and it was sold in a couple of days.I've been sitting on a solid 64 that needs a complete going through for about 18 years now.It looks like if I want one I'm going to have to build it.I had dozens of those things in the early-mid 70's.

I sold 3 project A’s before moving to North Dakota (29 Cabriolet, 30 Town Sedan, 31 Vicky)and continue to add Chevy Camaros to my collection. 69 Z28, 92 Z28, 94 Z28, 99 SS convertible, 23 ZL1 1LE. I still have a 29 CCPU and a 29 Business Coupe.

interesting choices....... Ive owned bugs and ghias and think either is a solid choice.

center T is another Ive always wtd.

I have a 69 chevelle convertible as well with a 396..... sold my 67 camaro convertible

My A went to Italy a few years ago and was replaced by a 40 Businesss Coupe (jump seats), stock from the outside, black, WWhites, big and littles, 48 block, 39 trans, black nauga inside. Almost like the one I had 50+ years ago.

ronn I like the way you think:)

Have a Model A, a '36 Ford, and a '69Mach. I like all of them for what they are. If I pick up another car in the future it will be a mid-60's or early 70's Ford.

Always had a soft spot for 7 Litre Fords and the first generation Torinos:)

I only have the 1 Model A, but I have a 74 Corvette and a 16 Nissan as well.

My '71 F100 had a 7 Litre engine. Wish I still had it. At least my Son is enjoying it.

Sold our last Model A, that we had owned for 43 years, this past spring.

We were saving the car for our grandson, but he is years away from every wanting it.

Bought him a Volvo XC60 to drive for college. That made more sense in the long run.

After 60 plus years of antique cars, it’s time to move on. I feel really good about what I have decided on. Really love Model A’s, but there comes a time for everything to end.

33-34 ford but…

You would likely need to sell several A’s to buy one 33-34.
Way cut above Model A in all respects

Wish I still had my 1969 GTO, but my BMW Z3 is a better overall car.

Love my 1931 Tudor.

However, my wife's Porsche Macan is best car ever had though.

About 20 years ago i got to a swap meet at 5:30 AM,and ran into my cousin at the gate.He was looking for a 32-3-4 body to build.We saw a guy uncovering his truck,with a lot of people gathering around it.It was a 33 or 34 coupe body,It was quite a show,it was still dark out,but guys had it lit up with flashlights like a hollywood stage.When he wrote $6500.on the door with shoe polish my cousin laughed,and said I'll come back when it looks like he is ready to leave.Maybe he'll come to his senses when he has to take it back home.I said,Bill,look now.The seller was crossing out the price and writing SOLD on the door.The guy never even got to write the price on the other door.

I'd part with a couple Model A's if it meant getting an original 1948 Harley FL 74. Old Harleys are gold these days.
I bought a 48 FL 74 in 1963 when I was 15 for a hundred bucks. Got it running and rode it to high school in the spring and fall. A 48 Harley was the first year of the panhead, and last year of the springer front forks.
The chances of someone willing to trade any Model A's for that particular bike is zero. That's my old dog Trixie on the bike with me.

Old Triumphs are holding their value, but old Harley's seem to be increasing in value.
