Wildfire evacuation Hello all
Our shop is under level 1 notice... get ready. Across the street, where my house is, is (as of 1:00 pm pacific time) level 2 notice... be ready to leave with 15 minutes notice. One major fire has possibly crossed a major river (Clackamas) and is about 3 miles from us. Last night Mary and I helped a car owner rescue 2 collector cars from the level 3 area 7 miles from us... flame front only 1/2 mile from where the cars were. I will try to keep you posted with any updates. Dale Newcomb... check in with your status also. Karl |

Re: Wildfire evacuation I’m 10 miles south of Oakland.
It’s been 95 to 100 here every day until yesterday. The whole place is hazy with smoke. Haven’t seen the sun in two days. Too much smoke Hansen in the air. It’s 65F today. Too cold to work outside. Yesterday I read there were some 7,500 individual fires burning here in the state of nonsense. |
Re: Wildfire evacuation We're all praying for you Karl.

Re: Wildfire evacuation Thanks for checking in. Stay safe.

Re: Wildfire evacuation You guys are getting it way worse than us in Washington, but the skies have been smokey here for almost a week. I can only imagine what it's like in the thick of it. Hang in there and know that many are praying for your safety!

Re: Wildfire evacuation Hi Karl,
I am sorry to read this. We had it here in Sonoma 2 years ago and again this year. They stopped it less than 1/4 mile from us. We refused to evacute. I have many friends who lost everything. Now there are fires burning again here and the smoke is so thick it is like midnight at noon here. The memories all came back. I still check the hills every night before bed for any signs of smoke or flames. This is life changing. I hope all goes well for you and you are spared. -Dennis |
Re: Wildfire evacuation I have next door neighbors that have weeds growing in their back yard 9 feet tall. Same as every year.
|
Re: Wildfire evacuation be strong and safe.

Re: Wildfire evacuation Sorry to hear this. The tree huggers out there need to learn that it is necessary to cut underbrush to prevent this sort of thing. Stay safe. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Re: Wildfire evacuation 7,500 plus fires, in one state, I am sure were not all started by lightening.
We had lightening about 3 weeks ago but it was also raining at the same time. |
Re: Wildfire evacuation Quote:
It's been widely reported that the El Dorado fire currently ablaze in SoCal was initiated by an incendiary device set-off by some real genius in dry grass at a "gender reveal" party this past Saturday. DD |
