And whilst not entirely relevant, We met a Brooks Baekeland in Spain in 1993 (a genuis in his own right) and his grandfather Leo Baekeland, invented Bakelite, the worlds first plastic. He also invented the first high speed photographic emulsion which he sold to George Eastman (Kodak) in 1900 for $1,000,000 an absolute fortune.
The real point is that Bell, Edison, Ford and Baekeland were all mates and met together and communicated with each other. These were amongst the most important men in recent industrial history |
