2 tone paint on 28 sedan???

I am much happier spraying single stage than base and high solids clear. When 2 colors are used on a Model A body, are most of you using BC/CC or single stage? My concern is that there will be a definite line felt where the paint edges meet.

We use single stage. Originally there was a slight edge felt between the two colors. Sand all your mouldings and reveals where the fold of the turn is very crisp. Apply just enough paint to cover but not to build excess mil thickness. Colorsand & buff to make a smooth crisp edge.

Very carefully pull the tape off as soon as you’re finished painting the moldings. It’ll eliminate almost all of that line you’re concerned about feeling. I used single stage paint.
