Early 1928 Model A/AA's Spindle Arms... I have two A-3131-B Spindle Arms, Left (the two-ball type), that when assembled to the left side of the front axle, and after attachment of the Tie Rod, measures 1-1/16" from the end of the tie-rod to the backing plate.
The right side measures 9/16" from the tie-rod end to the backing plate after assembly. The right side is well within the limits for distance (Standards say approximatly 5/8" or 10/16" for the early Spindle Arms and 5/16" for later arms). However with the left side, not so much, there is about a 7/16" more gap than should be, I would think. Is this acceptable on the early 1928 vehicles or is that to excessive of a distance? Thanks.
