Oil pans

Question ? How many years did Ford use a 2" oil pan drain nut ?

Must have been a tougher question than I had thought ? Seemed simple enough to ask .

Thank you JL, I appreciate it. I just made a wrench with handle and then a neighbor friend found a neat one in his collection which is like a tube, 4" high with a length of 1/2 x 11"rod at the top to turn it. Never seen one like it before. Did not have one, now have two !

8rt truck pans have the big plug, at least the one I'm running.

I got this wrench from my Dad. It's been in my tool box forever, must be over 60 years old.

51504bat, found one like yours at Stowe flea market and did not have a tape measure at the time, needless to say, it was undersize when I got it home so I blasted and painted and added it to my showcase. And alanwoodieman, you may be right, there was some kind of label but not enough to read so it got glass beaded and painted gloss black. If I was ever able to upload a picture without being rejected each time here I would put up a picture !

Most likely trying to upload too large a photo file. If you want anything posted email it to me and I will post it for you.

Works fine on the plug in my 8rt truck pan and my buddies AV8 with a 59ab.

If it measures 2" it is like mine but not quite the same size. I would have to go out and get it from the case and measure it again. Thanks guys

Bob NH sent me these photos to post.

*I was wrong on size, it was too large, not too small.

*(on the third photo) The one on the right side is a work in progress, but it did allow me to do a recent oil change. The other one (forth photo) is from a friend so I made a quick hanger to put it on the wall. Bob
