Absolutely! Good thread. I fell in love with this one recently and was lucky enough to drive it home:

Ryan, thank you so much for the feature! Also absolutely a good thread idea. I have been driving the heck out of this poor car these past few days!

when i first saw this '29 blind back, i fell in love. I didn't even have a job at the time. I spent all the money i had, and also had to work some odd jobs to scrounge up the money to buy it and ship it home. I've been working on it non-stop since. I lack paint and upholstery to be finished. I wouldn't take anything for it. (p.s. I hope the picture shows up. My first time trying to post a photo.)

Jason,

I am now a Cabriolet owner, and what got me hooked on Cabriolets was also a specific picture, namely the one on the golf course in "the Model A as Henry built it". By the way, really like the black / apple green color scheme of your car. - Very Stylish. Good that you chose this even though your inspirational picture has the yellow/brown scheme which for some reason 99% of cabriolet owners seem to choose.

I love that golf picture also! The yellow car was mine for a few years and I drove it just like you see it in the picture on about 5 3 day tours and all over town. It was a great car. I found the black and green car and decided to switch. The yellow car is now owned by a Ford Barn member who visits this site regularly.

Re: New To Him

I think that black makes the brightwork on the car come out very well, so it is really well suited for the Cabriolet, with its chrome windshield frame and standard cowl lights. I guess also that the way the brightwork comes out is one of many reasons why the golf course photo is one of my favorite A photos. (The ladies help as well :))

Here was mine in 07 it was not the 1st time seeing it. When I was 15 I picked apples at the farm and it was just sitting in the barn then. I was young and didn't give to shits about some old junk car. I just wonted a truck with big ass tires.
The car was Dave's high school better after school it got parked in 1957

After searching off and on (mostly off since I knew I couldn't afford one) for 45 years for a match to my Dad's '31 Deluxe Roadster (first picture, 1935), I finally found one in Younker's, New York that I felt would fill the bill. My heart was out of control when I drove up to the woman's house after a 800 mile drive dragging my trailer from the Chicago area. The second picture is what I saw in 1997 --- and I was able to buy it and drag it home. It even had Red wheels like my Dad's. He didn't like the Apple Green and changed his to Red. After a winter of clean-up and an engine overhaul, it became the answer to a dream! Gar Williams

I have two great moments... the first pic is of the first time I saw what I bought (almost 4 years ago), my vision to be. The second is with my brother and uncle as we tear down the flathead (my uncle, a 30+ year vet at GM plant in Oklahoma who died 3 months after the pic - and while i didnt see him often, I had never seen him so happy). Like you said, burned in our memories. (Last pic is of our progress to date, probably taken 6 months ago)

Thanks as always to all you ford barners who continue to give advice and guidance to us amateur builders. Greatly appreciated.
