1934 ford panel delivery scam The following appears to be a scam. The photos and blurb are from an ebay auction back in June when the van was sold in Kentucky. The seller claims that the van is in Ireland, worldwide shipping etc, but the price is half what it sold for in June. Just in case anyone is tempted, John

Someone should ask for additional, specific pictures. MIKE |
Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam I did that Mike; 'not available' - that's when I started to get suspicious

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam JD .................
Suprise, Suprise ! I bet that you surely were suprised ! That's a new twist - the scammers showing pictures, now. I wonder how many times he has sold it. MIKE :) |
Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam I recieved one today from Ireland offering a set of brake and clutch pedals I was looking for( I'm going to rebuild what I have ) from a Talbot Erikson. The english was too formal and badly worded. Another scam for sure!

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam I've never seen any legitimate listings on London craigslist. Why would someone in Ireland use a London website? Unless they're Nigerian, with a poor knowledge of geography.

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam Ray, you should report it as fraud on the UK Craigslist. Tell them that it is your car in your barn, etc. Might save someone from getting ripped off.

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam I agree, might tell E-pay too.

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam Gets one thingking, one of these days they may get photos of our rides up for sale and the buyer's might come looking for their supposedly new ride. Might be a heck of a mess then.

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam About a year ago a friend found a John Deere compact tractor on craigslist , the deal seemed almost too good to be true, and the story was a bit questionable. He googled " craigslist John Deere scam" and found that people were getting pictures from e-bay and re posting on craigslist. It was too good to be true. http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=103838

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam If you find a scam on Craigslist flag and report it! If you are not doing your part you won't be helping others.

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam i have never been on cragslist and my pc skill is not that good if you all want to flag it go for it all i can do with this thing is spend money

Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam These scams really piss me off. If and when I want to buy something from a seller in the USA I don't want the seller automatically thinking: "He's from the Uk - it must be a scam".
The truth is, the vast majority of these lowlifes have never been within 1000 miles of the UK. Mart. |
Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam I did flag it - not sure how that works, doesn't seem to have done anything.
|
Re: 1934 ford panel delivery scam I'm looking at the add right now & it isn't flagged.
