2 13/16" overall length. 1 9/16" narrow shank. 5/8" thick part before taper.
Diameters: 5/8" narrow shank. 3/4" thick shank before taper. 1 3/16" at the top of the flare (bell). The inside of the taper is hollowed out to match the taper of the valve. I'm no machinist, and this is as close as I can measure. After doing the lengths and diameters, you will need to somehow hollow out the middle, so that the tool will wrap around the valve stem for removal of the guides.

Brendan: Glad I could help. My wife says that this was an international effort. I was wondering how you were going to cut the groove for the valve stem. Milling machine. Very nice.

Your wife is right, life as home mechanic was a lot harder before these forums came along.
My milling machine is just a Mill Drill, I have just enough equipment to get by.
