Oil pan removal? Trying to figure out how to get the oil pan off of my '35 5 window. Pan is free from engine and trans, but having a hard time getting it off completely. It is getting caught on the the bars running from where the trans is up to the steering knuckles. Engine is hoisted up. Any suggestions?

Re: Oil pan removal? Loosen the wish bone and prop it down 3 or 4 inches. turn the engine so the front counter balance on the crank shaft is down. Be careful it don't fall down and hit you. G.M.

Re: Oil pan removal? Been there....Three times. A little friendly advice though.Make sure you put the right gasket back on.Look for the little vent (if it has one)on the passenger side front. Ask me how I know.

Re: Oil pan removal? Probably not the same issue, but on my 32 turning the steering wheel allowed the pan to drop

Re: Oil pan removal? It is probably getting hung up on the oil pump pick-up that goes to the bottom of the sump
