Looking for instructions how to install a wndshield on a 1930 Tudor Cowl I am currently working on a 1930 Station Wagon Project and I am not sure how to properly install a windshield to my Cowl. My cowl originally came from a 30/31 Tudor. Can anyone point me in the right direction? If possible an illustration or a reference publication.

Re: Looking for instructions how to install a wndshield on a 1930 Tudor Cowl Hi Henry, While replacing the top wood on my 30 Tudor I had to replace the header also. This requires that the windshield and frame be reinstalled onto the new header. It is secured to the header with (10) #10 x 1" wood screws. I installed it with 2 screws to check the fit and adjust if necessary, then add the other 8 screws. With the windshield out it's a good time to remove and service the gas tank if it needs it.
In GOOGLE search "How to hang a Model A Tudor windshield" Click on IMAGES and there is a sketch from The Jalopy Journal showing a cross section view of the installation. Good luck, Rick |
