I bought a bunch of parts as a box-lot at an estate auction and this part was in one of the boxes. What is it and would anyone want it? Thansk in advance! Paul

Looks like it's a speed governor that fits between the carburetor and the intake manifold, allowing you to turn the knob to set the maximum airflow and thus limit the engine's power.

All the old military trucks back in the 50s had what some called velocity governors on them to keep from over revving. I had a welder that had a 85 horse v8 on it with one of those for a 2 barrel 97 carb.

If someone is interested in having it for their shelf collection, I would sell it! SOLD IT!

Put it on your car when you teach the grand kids to drive it.
