30-31 wheel well patch panel question

Was the L shaped flange on the bottom of the panel folded up to the sub rail or left L shaped? Thanks

It was actually scalloped in several areas and was spot-welded to the Sill (Sub-rail).

BRENT, Does someone make a "Correct" patch panel than has rolled beads that match factory beads. I want to repair mine, no desire to use the overlay full panel. If someone can roll a factory correct center bead on a 12x12 piece of steel that is another option. Thank you. Bob

Bob, not that I am aware of. Since you mentioned beading, I'm gonna assume you are working on a Coupe or Roadster. If it is a Roadster, the closest company that I can think of that might get you close would be Brookeville. Maybe they would have a 2nds quarter panel you could purchase. Outside of that, you will probably need to fabricate it yourself.

I folded the L shaped flange at the bottom of the wheel well patch panel up to the sub rail . I felt that it was necessary .
