Keri Keen Trunk Installation Presently in the process of working on a full frame off restoration of a 1928 Briggs Body 60A Model A. All new wood, including new wood sub rails.
During this restoration, my intention is to install a restored Keri Keen luggage trunk which I have in my possession. This is the trunk design that has the spare tire mounted on the back side of the trunk. As you can envision, there is considerable unbalanced force added with just the weight of the truck, not to mention the additional weight of the steel frame to hold the trunk. in addition we have to add in the weight of the wheel mounting bracket, and the spare tire. Can anyone help with suggestions, drawings, pictures or just plain good old know how on how this should be done ?? Your Help is appreciated. |
