Brake rods G’day Model A team. I’m a V8 guy but have a really cool 29 A I’m working on. I may need a lot of help but for now what direction do the brake rod clevises go? Center of car or at the backing plate actuator’s? Or front one way and rear the opposite as they are now. Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: Brake rods The adjustable clevis attaches to the brake actuating arm on the backing plate, both front and rear

Re: Brake rods Thanks Keith. Much appreciated.

Re: Brake rods I believe the adjustable end always goes forward. The fronts are at the arm that goes unto the backing plate, the rears mount to the center shaft cross shaft.

Re: Brake rods Agreed from me - adjustable end towards the front of the car. That is, at the backing plate for the front brakes and at the cross shaft for the rear ones.
