34 tool storage? Hi all, I'm curious, how were the tools stored in my 34 tudor? I know small tools were in a pouch behind rear seat but what about the lug/crank tools, jack, grease gun etc? Thanks for any info. Ken

Re: 34 tool storage? Under the rear seat cushion with the small items as well. The space behind the rear seat back was intended for luggage, etc. (a small amount of it:D).

Re: 34 tool storage? I had LeBaron Bonney make pouches for all the tools including the jack, but any upholsterer could do that for you; no more rattles or paint chips.

Re: 34 tool storage? Back in the late '60's, I bought a complete, original (but very rusty) '34 sedan delivery. It turned out to be too much for me, so I sold it to someone more qualified. Before I sold it, I found a complete set of tools in a leatherette pouch under the passenger seat. They appeared to be untouched.
I am in no way an expert on these cars, but I am reporting my experience. |

Accessory under hood Tool Box that was available on Australian 1933 and 1934 Fords. They especially come in handy on an open car. I took this photo while the Hood was off, so that you can see it better. |

Whoever made this 33/34 Ford Tool Box did an excellent job. A real Craftsman. It looks exactly like the original? |

What was the wooden box on the side in the trunk for? I've heard it called a tool box.

Re: 34 tool storage? It was a tool box for coupes, cabriolets, and roadsters, but the original question regarded a Tudor sedan. The engine compartment tool boxes are handy, for sure, but they are length limited inside because of the passage of the choke and throttle rods through the middle. Even with one you still need to stow the tire pump and two-piece jack handle inside in a phaeton, sedan, and Victoria.
