The national Museum of the US Army https://www.thenmusa.org/
The National Museum of the US Army open Veterans Day, November 11, 2020. Certainly will be a good place to visit. |
Re: The national Museum of the US Army Looks interesting and close to the Marine Corps Museum.
There was a great museum years ago at Aberdeen Proving Ground. I believe they closed it down and moved everything to the Kansas area. I wonder if it has been moved back east to be housed in this new museum? |
Re: The national Museum of the US Army For those in the Washington area you should visit the National Naval museum. A site to see.

Speaking of museums, don't forget the Navy's Submarine Museum in Groton, Connecticut, it is not far off I 95. You can tour the USS Nautilus SSN571 the world's first nuclear powered submarine. The exhibits are very interesting and cover subs from the beginning to present day. Did you know there was a submarine during the revolutionary war? Also admission and parking are free!

Re: The national Museum of the US Army The subs in Groton are very interesting as well. I couldnt believe how cramped they were!
I saw a bumper sticker one time in the Norfolk area that I thought was pretty funny. 'There are 2 types of boats, submarines and targets' |
