Burtz engine topped with a Miller Hi-Speed Head 6 Attachment(s)
Greetings All,
I have 6,400 miles on my Burtz engine. About 1,400 of these miles were pulling a clam shell teardrop camper. Lots of power and no issues with the engine. I maintain 20-22 psi of oil pressure when warm at idle to road speed. Cold oil pressure will reach 28 psi at road speed. The Stipe oil pump was modified by shortening the internal spring 1/4" and by installing an additional pressure relief. The Miller High-Speed head is manufactured by Steve Serr. Jim Brierley ground a 5-journal camshaft for me that gives good torque at lower engine speed. The mild build produced 110 hp at 3,300 rpm on the dyno. Great engine. I ordered 10 more from the second run and have 8 spoken for already. This new Burtz engine is a great base for anyone wanting to build up an engine with more power. Good Day! |
Re: Burtz engine topped with a Miller Hi-Speed Head I really like that Fordor with the teardrop trailer. What a nice combination.

Re: Burtz engine topped with a Miller Hi-Speed Head That shed looks a bit small to fit all that lot in. Is it a Tardis?
