1941 Ford dash light dimmer switch I need a dash light dimmer switch for my 1941 Ford Coupe. Shopped around various suppliers and found out that the 1941 was a "one only." None available.
Does anyone have one? |
Re: 1941 Ford dash light dimmer switch Did you check with the NOS guys?

Re: 1941 Ford dash light dimmer switch Bypassed dimmer on my '41. At full bright the instruments are still hard to read at night. The instrument faces are a darkish gold and in dim light the red needles have very little contrast. I think maybe the later model year '41s had white needles, which might show up better.

Re: 1941 Ford dash light dimmer switch I have one. It is a reproduction of dubious quality. PM me.

Re: 1941 Ford dash light dimmer switch drolston Bypassing is a good suggestion. My '41 has all white needles. I don't drive very much in the dark but Fall is coming. Not to mention I am an old guy and these bright LEDs coming at me are blinding.

Re: 1941 Ford dash light dimmer switch Ford for 41 had the new 'what the heck is going on?' (Tm) gage cluster. I'm pretty sure there is literature around some place.
I have white needles faded to ivory/grey. Mine can't get much more low vis, but I love the layout Time for a rebuild I guess. |
