Trico vacuum wiper parts 3 Attachment(s)
Any ideas were I can get a replacement piece? It's called a rocker home or yoke on the parts diagram. I seem to have snapped it:(
If no ideas on replacement piece availability, any recommendations for a material to use to make a new one? It seems to be some type of bakelite or something... https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1607994094 https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1607994094 https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1607994094 |
Re: Trico vacuum wiper parts Could you make one by cutting out the shape using a piece of the material circuit boards are made of? How about Delrin or Nylon plastic sheet? Look here:
https://www.google.com/search?q=delr...hrome&ie=UTF-8 "Starboard" used in marine applications would also work. It can be cut to shape really easily. Plastic supply house have it. We used to use it all the time in our metal shop machine shop classes. Great stuff. Comes in white and black. Leaves a very smooth cut edge and can be filed easily to shape. You could probably get a scrap piece at no cost. https://www.acplasticsinc.com/inform...stic-varieties Look here: https://www.google.com/search?q=who+...hrome&ie=UTF-8 Read this thread. There is a fellow in post #2 (Curti) who has that part. https://forums.aaca.org/topic/302219...r-motor-parts/ |
Re: Trico vacuum wiper parts Option 1. I just recently saw that part in a couple Trico NOS rebuilt kits listed on eBay.
Option 2. https://rebuildingtricowipers.com/ Rob just rebuilt my motor and I can’t be happier. The motor now works like new, nice and strong. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I think most of the parts are interchangeable in this kit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: Trico vacuum wiper parts Thanks guys. I'll see if I can't get a hold of curti. I just heard back from a local 3d printer, says he can make me 2 for $15. Any thoughts if it would hold up? He offers plastic or abs.

You might try and call Rob at Ficken Wiper Service. In my earlier post. I sure he has the part you are looking for probably for less than a 3D print. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

All is good. I got a hold of Curti from aaca. He has the part I need. Like the circuit board material idea from 19Fordy but considering I don't have my headliner installed yet, I don't want to have to dig back into there once it is, in the event it should fail. At least not for a long while... with the correct part it should be good. |

Many thanks everyone. |
Re: Trico vacuum wiper parts For future reference most of the Parts houses offer the kit
Most of the parts are interchangeable. The problem I have found is most of the ones I try and rebuild have a warped body casing so I can't get the vacuum seal or free movement you need on the moveable "flapper" |
Re: Trico vacuum wiper parts I had that same fiber cam fail in the rain one day, my wipers would go up but not go back down. If I turned them off they would park, so I kept having to flick the switch back and forth for the drive home. Anyway, I wound up finding a whole replacement nos wiper motor for not very expensive on the auction site. I had to put some oil on that same cam in the nos one to get it freed up and working nice.
