Did I hear this correctly??? On todays early news, stated that Ford is to auction two new cars being a 1946 to 48 station wagon and a Bermuda Edsel station wagon. New never
run or driven from their museum. I was deleting emails not watching, but I heard it on the TV.. A promotion by Edsel Ford great great grandson from Henry. I didn't know till today there is an Edsel "is he Henry II's son???? |

Try this link. I expect they will hammer at well over 100K due to their provenance. Essentially trailer queens and/or museum pieces! JMHO. Bill |
Re: Did I hear this correctly??? It's Edsel Ford II and yes, he is the son of Henry Ford II. And if you read the link in #2 above you will note that neither is new and both have been modified to a considerable extent. (That doesn't mean that they aren't nice cars with a distinctive provenance.)

Re: Did I hear this correctly??? Great stuff. That’s Mr Edsel Ford 2nd standing behind my 36 in my avatar along with myself. A great guy.

Re: Did I hear this correctly??? You can rest assured that with Ford's money and the fact that all the modifications came from the Jack Roush shops, that all the modifications were done correctly, with all the best parts. Both beautiful cars.

Re: Did I hear this correctly??? "This pair of handsome cars carries the gravitas of being owned by an icon of the American automotive industry."
I wouldn't call Edsel Ford II an, "icon of the American automotive history." His namesake, on the other hand, would be such a person. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
Re: Did I hear this correctly??? I saw the Edsel Wagon some years back at Henry Ford Village. You would not believe how great that car looks !! Just plain beautiful !
Back in my Ford days...I worked with Jack Roush for a short time at the old Engine & Foundry Division at Ford. That is one crusty old guy !! Mike |
Re: Did I hear this correctly??? That answers that I did not know Henry II had a son Edsel thought it was Billy...
