Best home brew penetrating oil?

First, I apologize for treading over old territory, but a friend asked. What is the formula for the home brew penetrating oil? Will it last in storage?
Thank you in advance for your assistance and patience.....LouB.

I use 50/50 acetone and ATF. Works pretty good. The trick to any penetrating oil is patience and perseverance.

Gotta keep it in a covered container or else the acetone evaporates. Good stuff.

Don't forget to shake your Acetone/Auto Transmission Fluid mixture, each time you use it. It will separate.

Acetone evaporates very-very quickley, fuel oil and trans fluid works Better.

Better yet, Buy a can of PB Blaster, No Muss, No Fuss, and it works as good as Anything.

I have to go with the 50/50 mix. I had a lathe with a 3 jaw chuck and it wouldn't come off. I tried everything I could think of including a torch and 6' bar. My frienf George suggested actone&ATF. Squirted alittle on it every morning for a few days and it finally screwed off by hand. Great for removing exhaust guides.

i need to try the 50/50 mix with some grease in there....so that it wont evaporate so quickly, maybe you squirt it the area and then put the grease over it..

I used the 50/50 mix on my stuck 8RT cylinders. Everyday I took a crow bar and pryed on the flywheel resting it on the bellhousing alignment pin. After several days I saw a little movement, then a little more each day. Finally I was able to turn it 360°.

It works!
